8日，据央视春晚官方微博宣布，《2020年春节联欢晚会》已经进入了紧锣密鼓的筹备阶段，杨东升将再度担任春晚总导演。杨东升现任中央广播电视总台文艺节目中心导演、高级编辑，曾先后担任2017年、2018年央视春晚总导演，也担任过1991年、1998年、2005年、2006年、2009年央视春晚导演。
